Hiya! My name is Devonne Tourre, otherwise known as SkittlesBeats online. My track is called

This is my first ever original chiptune song! I wanted to try to make a chiptune song specifically
for this submission pool, so I thought I’d tighten up my boots, pause on making just chiptune
covers, and give it a shot. At first, the song was titled “It’s a Start,” since it was me starting to
make an original song from little to no music experience. It was really hard starting out. I didn’t
know what I was doing and whatever I made sounded really, really bad. When I get like this, I
ask my friends for help. Such friend is Dachampster, who has been my rock for years. He’s
encouraged me to continue making music ever since I started, and I don’t think I’d be as
confident as I am today without his support. His contributions not only to Chiptunes 4 Autism
but to chiptune compilations everywhere simply can’t go unnoticed. Anyway, as I continued
making the song, it kind of just started sounding like a “Continue?” screen. Therefore, I renamed
it to “Hitting Continue.” I wanted this song to represent that I’m going to continue on my journey
as a musician, as well encouraging others to continue even under adversity, such as being
discriminated against for being autistic. I really, really want to help support this cause through
my song, so I hope you’ll accept me!
I also want to say thank you to Donutshoes for also helping me with this track as well. Also a big
contributor to the chiptune community, he knows a crapton of stuff. Thank you!! <3
